bookish Count: 2010 (by Tehanu)

Only I begin to take stock of last year's literature in the last days of January, right?
Anyway, what I was procrastinating, putting off until ... January 29 and making
XD Last year was the first time in my life that I did a complete list of the books I read. So I decided to read 50 books and I did, I live XD That's not including all the books I started and stopped halfway, or the tens of stories I read ...
Anyway, I will count every month. In some books speak in detail of others. And review some, others I have to review and others will not ever xD will outline
Here we go!

First month of the year and one of the most productive as far as reading is concerned. We started with Good Omens (Good Omens) by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Written by two great writers, this work struck me as much as expected. That in itself is very funny. We continue to Where the Wild Things Are (Where the Wild Things Are) Maurice Sendak , a book / story not-so-child. The truth that gives me some guilt include it in the list because it is a book of less than 10 pages with many illustrations that reads 2 minutes, but ... I like (?)
The following is Addiction Claudia Gray this review it yet so I'll just say that if half started Midnight loose, this started to fall.
Misery by Stephen King is next on the list. This book I loved, was the first book-Good year. Already really liked the movie and the book surpasses it by far. Required reading.
Next on the list is a book that talked a lot E l Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss ( review). Read it, I'll just say that XD We
more Stephen King, remember that the year had started with the spectacular launch of his collection with an Argentine newspaper. In this case touches Carrie, his first published novel. I liked it, but I prefer the movie, so yes, it is very short.
ended January with a total fiasco, Alyson Noël Eternity ( review). Do not read it, make your Dismiuya IQ, post ...

In February we had less reading, why is that? July found us reading Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief) by Rick Riordan. A book that already pulled many tomatoes ( review). continue with another Neil Gaiman, Stardust. I bought this book because I had seen the movie and I did good ... only good. I thought to myself, if a movie is just as imaginative good, the book should be three thousand times more good ... Was not. The book and movie are different entities ... should to the review.
If it cost me much to read that book, too late enough in the next The Queen of the Damned , but for a different reason. The pen of Anne Rice, Anne Rice's brilliant, it makes me slow down my reading. Makes me stop and savor his words, smell the roses xD That way I stopped several days in the world of Lestat and his friends and I in-can-tó.

March, a month of classes begin, how did I read so much? So with a little trick: the servant classes begins in April, XD muajaja
started the month with Memories Idhún 2: Triad Laura Gallego. A Book unpalatable ... I had read the first of the trilogy, The Resistance and was somewhat disappointed by it. But Triad was TERRIBLE. I have to do the review soon so I vent XD Next was
Mechanics of the Heart of Mathias Malzieu, other that I have the review. A tragic book ... I much prefer the music video that promotes it.
get the thing to improve Castle in the Air (Castle in the Air) by Diana Wynne Jones . A beautiful book that put me in excellent spirits.
continue with the good luck, Northern Lights and The Subtle Knife, two of the trilogy His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman . While at first it may be a little dense or difficult to catch the books if they are worth. They are very deep and ranking for all ages.
ended the month with Vampire's Apprentice, a volume that collects the first 3 volumes of the saga of Darren Shan (and that is why I count as 3 books.) This saga begins very young. It's not like the vampire sagas youth today, it's more ... miserable for lack of better word. And also more realistic and helpful. They are really a good read.

Surprisingly, my reading just subsided in April. We started the month with The House of Spirits by Isabel Allende . Had tried to read this book a few years without success, this time I took it and I could not let go. It is a great read, though perhaps not for everyone. We continue to The Amber Spyglass, the last part of His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman , which I loved, and closed a nearly perfect trilogy.
More fantasy? And the hand of the brilliant Ursula K. Le Guin with Gifts, volume 1 of Annals of the West Coast , a novel that belongs to the Annals but is autoconclusivos review and I hope soon. We
to something more adult, Dejame Entrar John Ajvide Lindqvist, a novel about vampires pre-teens. And it's terror. Yes, youth is not romantic, is the good terror, terror darkest. Really an excellent book. We ended the month with a must-read for The Hunger Games ( review).

May
contrary was rather poor. We started the month with the novelty of In Flames Suzanne Collins ( review). The book and praised it many times xD
continued with one of my shopping at the Book Fair, La Sombra del Viento by Carlos Ruiz Zafon ( review of Mrs Sali ). Eaten away by curiosity and good reviews I went into this dark Barcelona. Although I liked the book, and quite, I could not see anything special that half the world seems to see, hehe xD

charged that June! We started with Inkheart by Cornelia Funke who wanted to read for years by the fanaticism of my other colleague Lucero ( your review ). When I finally read it ... I was bored. Do not get me wrong, love is genuine and bookish but it pours ... I do not know ... Adventure slow in coming and the characters never really touched me ... Then came
Thrones game of the series A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin . This is an epic fantasy saga of those, only comparable to Tolkien (far, far away from Eragon xD). I like to get to review these books one day, but they are VERY difficult to find in Latin America continue to uu
The Fifth Dragon Gutierrez Paulina Aguila ( review ) and rereading Deer Days of The Saga of confines of the Liliana Bodoc master. This series will outline the if or if I am in love with her ♥.
ended the month with an excellent book, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (Sali review). This book is so, so, so good but super Sali for me fell short when they put four stars, for me it takes five easy ... I loved that book and each of their characters. Essential.

In July, one of my favorites xD, the books returned to the attack, and how! Although it should be noted, there are some rereading ...
The Reader Bernhard Schlink is one of them. An excellent book, and certainly deserves his rereading. We continue with the only play of the year, Trees die standing of Alejandro Casona, a book that probably many of you have read and which is also highly recommended. Continuing with the rereading
German Literature come Measurement World Nox Daniel Kehlmann and Thomas Hettche . The first passed without pain and without glory but the second ... puff, it is difficult to classify for worst book of the year when I have not got the foggiest idea of \u200b\u200bwhat happened in it.
continue with a new classic essential: Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. What book! Although you know you have to hate the character, ends with him fondly. Say no more, I hope to review it (Ya, Tej, outlining how many books do you think?)
If we were talking about bad books before, here comes a Bachelor Claudia Gray. That's all I'll say, I ... Guess what? XD review it
The last of the month is Men Who Hate Women Stiegg Larson belonging to the Millennium trilogy. A black police who recently was on everyone's lips but to be honest, I do not see what the fascination with him.

In August I read recently, and only German books. One is a book of short stories, Love on the Run the aforementioned Bernhard Schlink. A collection of bittersweet stories of love and clashes with political and cultural background, of course.
This was accompanied by the short story of Birgit Vanderbeke, Peacetime. A novel worthy of his pen of a dysfunctional German family. Very interesting. Again, this book is not for everyone ...

two also in September. The return to the best-selling hand Against North Wind Daniel Glattauer . This book is devoured. And of course, the style is simple, very simple, a series of chained mails. The story is not a big deal. I guess the ease of the history and romance (plus common place) are what made this book a bestseller. He continues
Shadow Hunters 1: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare . The Indeed, I thought I'd never read this book, but I had the chance and I was surprised. My expectations were so very low that covered my mouth. Pretty decent, much better than many children's books out there loose.

October, the month's terror unexpected brought me two books: poetry. The first was The Devil's Violin Tuñon Raul Gonzalez. A book of poems port of sailors and prostitutes. I did not like the truth, very dark and desolate.
The second was much better: Violin and other issues of Juan Gelman . Despite being Gelman's successor, so to speak, Tuñón his style is very different and his poems are beautiful. Either way I'm not very fond of poetry, so ...

two sequels came in November expected. The most anticipated of them Sinsajo must wait for his review to know my opinion XD
The second is Every Seven Waves of Daniel Glattauer , continued against the North Wind. I liked it, not as much as its predecessor but it was good. Nice ending = D

And we close the year at last!, With abundant reading ... We started with
Tokyo Blues (Norwegian Wood) Haruki Murakami. This is the first book I read Japanese author, but not what I expected, I really liked. An alternate title for the book would be "like all the people I know committed suicide or attempted suicide" XD
was followed by a storybook, The Blue Hotel Stephen Crane , a book that went without penalty and without glory. Then came
The Paris Enigma by Pablo de Santis , a novel semi-police very interesting.
and ended the year with Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman . Another review I should ...

In short I started and finished the year reading Neil Gaiman. Curious that he is one of the most widely read of my year with 3 books. The tie: Suzanne Collins, Philip Pullman, Darren Shan. With 2 books each follow them: Stephen King, Claudia Gray, Daniel Glattauer and Bernhard Schlink.

For Most popular countries, the list is not surprising: U.S.
: 16
England: 11
Germany: 6
Argentina: 5
Spain: 3
Austria: 2
Sweden: 2
Australia: 1
Chile: 1
France: 1
Japan: 1
Mexico: 1

My favorite readings are: Misery, The Name of the Wind, In Flames, The Book Thief, A Clockwork Orange, Game Thrones, the Dark Materials trilogy, let me in and one that escapes me between the rereading. My reading
least appreciated were: Nox, Farewell and perhaps Percy Jackson and The Mechanics of the Heart.

As a curiosity, I read 3 books in the title of which appeared the word "wind": The Name of the Wind, The Shadow of the Wind, Against the Wind of the North. "" Wind "will have been the word of 2010?

What was its stock 2010? Would you like to review some of these books earlier than others?
